USF: Meet these five new transfers

USF men’s basketball debuted an almost entirely retooled roster in 2023. This upcoming season, the Bulls are doing the same thing.

Following a historic season from first-year head coach Amir Abdur-Rahim, USF men’s basketball suffered a number of losses in the transfer portal.

The Bulls lost their three top scorers from last year’s team that posted a 25-8 record and won the American Athletic Conference regular-season title. Senior guards Chris Youngblood and Selton Miguel headed to Alabama and Maryland, respectively, and junior forward Kasean Pryor transferred to Louisville.

Youngblood was named AAC Co-Player of the Year alongside FAU guard Johnell Davis. Miguel was the Bulls’ top perimeter threat, averaging 14.7 points per game. And, Pryor was USF’s most efficient big man and a force on the interior.

Abdur-Rahim followed suit with some acquisitions of his own. Here are five new faces that will be suiting up for the Bulls this season.

De’Ante Green, Forward

Junior forward De’Ante Green came to USF after two seasons at Florida State. He averaged 4.9 points and 1.7 rebounds per game last year in 20 starts for the Seminoles.

A four-star prospect out of high school, Green was the No. 3 prospect in North Carolina and the No. 21 power forward in the nation.

Jamille Reynolds, Forward

After bouncing around various Division I programs, forward Jamille Reynolds will play his senior season with the Bulls.

Reynolds spent two seasons at UCF before transferring to Temple in 2022, where he averaged 10.1 points per game. He was mostly a bench player at Cincinnati last season, appearing in 28 games yet only making one start.

A St. Petersburg, Florida native, Reynolds was named All-Pinellas County in 2019 by the Tampa Bay Times. He averaged over 17 points a game during his senior season at Lockwood High School.

Jimmie Williams, Guard

Redshirt sophomore guard Jimmie Williams was a junior college star during his freshman season at Wallace State.

Williams was a NJCAA All-American in 2024, starting in all 35 appearances. He set the single-game record at Wallace State with 48 points against Lawson State in the ACCC Tournament before being named tournament MVP.

He averaged 22.5 points per game during his freshman season for the Lions.

Quincy Ademokoya, Guard

Abdur-Rahim goes back to his former university to land Quincy Ademokoya, a graduate guard from Kennesaw State.

Ademokoyo played two seasons for the Owls, including one with Abdur-Rahim. Last season, he averaged 10.1 points and 3.9 rebounds per game.

Previously, he spent two seasons at Temple, notching six starts.

Jaylen Wharton, Forward

Williams isn’t the only JUCO standout headed to South Florida. Junior forward Jaylen Wharton also transferred to USF after two seasons at Walters State.

Wharton appeared in 30 games last season for the Senators, averaging 5.8 points per game on 57% shooting.
