St. Bonaventure defeats UMass by double digits

St. Bonaventure beat UMass 73-59 to snap a three-game losing streak on Saturday afternoon in Amherst, Massachusetts. The Bonnies (18-9) are now 6-8 in Atlantic 10 play, with the Minutemen (11-15) dropping their second straight game to move to 6-7 in conference play.

Chance Moore, still seemingly dealing with a toe injury, came off the bench for the Bonnies. Moore had a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Melvin Council added 14 points while playing all 40 minutes. Noel Brown and LaJae Jones both ended with 12 points, and Jonah Hinton finished with 11. For UMass, Tarique Foster led the scoring with 14. Rahsool Diggins added 13 and Daniel Rivera added 11.

This was a dominant showing for the Bonnies, as they led by double digits seemingly the entire game. This massive win comes after a disappointing four-point loss to Rhode Island in the final seconds on Wednesday.

St. Bonaventure will next take on Duquesne at 4 p.m. ET Saturday on ESPN+. UMass has a massive challenge up next, facing VCU at 6 p.m. ET Wednesday on the road.
