Kaleb Glenn: A driving force for Florida Atlantic

Kaleb Glenn has become a key piece for Florida Atlantic, providing a spark off the bench and showcasing his skills on both ends of the floor. Glenn’s consistent contributions off the bench have played a valuable role in FAU’s success.

The 6-foot-7 sophomore forward is a versatile player, demonstrating his efficiency with jumpers and aggressive defense. Coming off the bench, Glenn sparks the game with intensity and enhances the Owls’ style of play.

“The first couple of minutes, I get to see how the game is going, and I take note of what aspects I can attack when I get into the game,” Glenn said.

A native from Louisville, Kentucky, Glenn was a four-star high school prospect who proved himself his freshman year at Louisville. Starting in 11 games out of 32 as a freshman, he averaged 3.9 points and 3.6 rebounds per game.

Glenn has carried over his experience from his freshman year to FAU. His understanding of the college game and skill set have allowed him to be a valuable player for the Owls.

“I was looking for a spot where I could showcase my abilities,” Glenn said. “I also wanted to have a coach that believes in me and have the opportunity to play in a different environment.”

Offensively, Glenn has been efficient in pick-and-roll situations and excelled beyond the 3-point line.

This season, Glenn is averaging 11.9 points per game on 53.3% shooting from the floor, including 39.1% from behind the arc. His scoring production ranks second for the Owls, despite coming off the bench in all 19 games this season. Glenn also averages 4.4 rebounds per contest.

“I have always been able to shoot, I just did not have many opportunities to showcase that last year like I do this year,” Glenn said.

Glenn’s pathway of success at Florida Atlantic has been notable, being named AAC Weekly Honorable Mention after recording a career-high 27 points on Nov. 15 against Charleston.

Glenn has consistently contributed points for the Owls while excelling in the game’s smaller aspects. His drives to the basket and lockdown defense have driven the Owls to play sharper basketball.

“A key component I keep in mind is to keep working, staying in the gym. It is all going to pay off at the end of the day,” he said.

Under Jakus’ coaching, Glenn has developed into a more confident and resilient player, unlocking new facets of his game and elevating his performance to the next level.

“The program Jakus has built is a family-oriented type program. I think he has done a good job of it,” Glenn said. “We all appreciate and love each other.”
