Game of the Week: San Francisco vs. Bradley

San Francisco will play its first true road game of the season when it squares off against Bradley at 8 p.m. ET Wednesday in Peoria, Illinois, with the game broadcasted on ESPN+.

Both teams are ranked in the latest Mid-Major Baseball Top 25, with San Francisco sitting at No. 9 and Bradley at No. 24.

San Francisco

San Francisco (9-2) heads into Peoria fresh off a 76-66 win over previously unbeaten Loyola Chicago at Milwaukee’s Fiserv Forum in the MKE Tip-Off. The Dons have now won five straight games.

The Dons boast a highly skilled and dynamic group of guards. Senior guard Malik Thomas has been the driving force for San Francisco this season. The 6-foot-5 standout dropped 35 points on Loyola and enters Wednesday night, averaging 18.6 points and 3.4 rebounds per game while shooting over 50% from the field.

Guards Marcus Williams and Tyrone Reilly IV, who combine for over 22 points and 10 rebounds per game, provide a balanced scoring attack for coach Chris Gerlufsen.

Bradley

Bradley returns home looking to rebound after an 84-74 loss to Santa Clara in the Jack Jones Classic in Henderson, Nevada. Despite the setback, the Braves remain one of the most efficient offensive teams in the country, ranking first nationally in 3-point shooting (44.6%) while sitting eighth in overall field-goal percentage and 21st in assists per game.

The Braves have had standout performances from their key players of late. Guard Duke Deen has topped 20 points in two of his last three games, while guard Zek Montgomery has shot better than 45% in three straight outings.

Bradley’s consistency at home is also worth noting. They are one of the nation’s toughest teams to beat on their home floor, going 65-14 since the 2019-20 season, including a dominant 42-6 mark over the last three years. They carry an active eight-game home winning streak into Wednesday’s matchup.
