Mid-Major Basketball: Top 25 Poll

The latest Mid-Major Basketball Top 25 Poll is out, with the top nine teams holding steady aside from some minor reshuffling. Saint Mary’s retains the top spot after impressive double-digit wins over San Francisco and Washington State, extending its winning streak to eight games.

Colorado State reenters the rankings after a one-week absence, while Akron makes its season debut in the poll following a commanding 27-point victory over Miami (OH) in a showdown between the MAC’s top two teams.

While college football follows a clear structure with automatic-qualifying and non-qualifying conferences for the College Football Playoff, the term “mid-major” in basketball is more subjective. For clarity and consistency, MidMajorBasketball.com defines mid-majors as teams from conferences outside the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, SEC and Big East.
